How to Fix Your Adjustable Dumbbells

Adjustable dumbbells are extremely useful, especially in small living spaces. They take up less space than traditional dumbbells, and they're perfect for people who have limited space or don't want to buy a set of dumbbells for each weight.

If you have adjustable dumbbells and they aren't working properly, there are a few steps you can take to get them working again. This article will teach you how to fix your adjustable dumbbells.

 Step 1: Inspect the Collars

The first thing you want to do is expand your adjustable dumbbells. You can do this by unscrewing the collars, which are held in place by the spring washers. If you have a Flybird adjustable dumbbells set, there will be two collars on each bar, each with a spring washer. If these have become damaged or worn out, you may need to replace them with new ones.

Step 2: Remove the Collars and Spring Washers

In order to remove these parts from your adjustable dumbbells, you'll need to use a screwdriver to loosen them from their position on the weight plates. You should also be careful not to lose any of these pieces during this process; if any of them get lost inside your dumbbells, it will be difficult for you to figure out where they belong later on in this process!

Step 3: Replace the Spring Washers if Necessary

If your spring washers aren't damaged and they just need replacing because they're old or dirty, all you need to do is slide them off your weight plates and slide new ones on top of them. Be sure that they're facing towards the same direction as when they were originally

If you've ever owned a set of adjustable dumbbells, you know how convenient they can be. They save space, allow you to change weights quickly, and are easy to store.

Unfortunately, they're not perfect. Here are a few troubleshooting tips for common problems with your adjustable dumbbells:

The locks don't hold when you're trying to adjust them. This is usually caused by the knurling on the lock moving or not being properly pressed into place during manufacturing. If this happens, try pressing down on the lock again with your thumb or forefinger until it lines up properly with the weight plate. If this doesn't work, then try using a pair of pliers to press down on the lock until it clicks into place (but be careful not to crush or damage anything!).

The plates don't stay seated in the slots when you're lifting. This is usually caused by vibrations during use causing one side of each plate to come loose from its seat in one of the slots (it will only happen on one side at a time). This can be fixed by simply tightening down on that particular handle while using your other hand to lift up on both plates together so that they line up correctly again between their seats in the adjustment knob.

If you're using a set of adjustable dumbbells, it's important to make sure the weights are safe and secure. If they're not, the weights could fall off and cause injury. Here's how to fix your adjustable dumbbells:

1. Check the bolts that hold the plates in place. Make sure they are tight and secure before using your dumbbells again.

2. Check for loose or damaged parts on your weight plates. If you notice any cracks or chips in the side of a weight plate, replace it immediately. This will prevent it from cracking further and causing injury when used with other weights

3. Look for any signs of wear on the handle where it meets the body of your dumbbells. If there is any wear at all, replace this part immediately as well.
